WELCOME TO EL NIDO VILLAS

the community

El Nido Villas is a boutique residential community designed to harmonize with the land, the climate, and the way of life that makes Costa Rica’s Blue Zone so unique. Nestled in the forests of the southern Nicoya Peninsula, it offers privacy, connection, and a grounded sense of belonging in one of the most naturally vibrant places on earth.

the materials

At El Nido Villas, every material has been carefully selected to balance durability, simplicity, and long-term ease of use—especially for owners who plan to rent their homes seasonally or year-round. Solid concrete forms the structural backbone, chosen for its strength, longevity, and resistance to humidity and pests. Locally sourced hardwoods bring warmth and character while supporting regional craftsmanship. Tile and glass finishes were chosen for their resilience and ease of cleaning, ensuring each space can transition effortlessly between personal use and guest stays without compromising on quality or comfort.

the design

El Nido Villas was designed by a renowned architect with a clear intention: to create thoughtful, well-crafted homes that feel grounded, efficient, and connected to the land. Each home is modest in size—ranging from compact eco-cabins to functional two-bedroom units—not by accident, but by design. These smaller footprints encourage outdoor living, reduce maintenance, and align with the region’s natural rhythm. From the open-air yoga pavilion to the quiet meditation spaces, every element reflects a deeper commitment to intentional living and architectural restraint.

OUR COMMUNITY

El Nido Villas is nestled on a five-acre property on the edge of the Villas del Mar community, just outside the gates of the luxury resort Tango Mar. Of the five acres, only two will be developed—preserving the remaining three acres as protected forest. A natural stream winds through this untouched area, which is home to native wildlife including the elusive spotted owl.

The property is surrounded on all sides by forest, offering both privacy and immersion in nature. It’s just a 14-minute walk to the beach, and a short drive to the main town of Cóbano, where you’ll find shops, services, and local culture. The community will feature a secure gated entrance, full-time security, and discreet perimeter fencing to maintain a sense of openness while providing peace of mind.

This thoughtful layout ensures every home feels both connected and secluded—grounded in nature, but never far from the essentials.
